Sr EDI Developer

Job Responsibilities are but not limited to:
Analyze, design, develop, test, troubleshoot, optimize, enhance and maintain EDI applications in various formats that include HIPAA standard formats such as 837 and 834 and other regulatory formats using EDI mapping tools.
Create and maintain interfaces between applications systems and EDI transactions.
Apply in-depth knowledge of systems and business to the development of technical design for large complex processes and projects.
Evaluate requests for new and modifications to applications/programs/processes/maps.
Maintain detail documentation and process flow of all EDI processes.
Conduct research and make recommendations on ETL products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
Participate in project meetings, providing input to project plans and providing status updates.
At the request of end users or management, research questions involving EDI applications and how the data is organized and populated.
Provide status updates on all assigned tasks using the department's service request tracking tool.
Support end-user functional departments as requested by management.
Follow existing source code management and version control processes for all coding efforts.

Qualifications:

years of experience in the designing, deploying, monitoring, configuring and troubleshooting of enterprise solutions using TIBCO Business Works and Business Connect in a health care environment.
Must have recent experience with TIBCO Business Connect with HIPAA EDI transactions including:
EDI X12 270, 271, 276, 277, 278, 820, 834, 835, 837 Implementation background with emphasis on SOA, distributed and event-driven computing.
Working with Web Services, ESB, SOA, distributed applications and interoperability and understanding of Web Service protocols such as SOAP and REST Extensive hands-on experience with message-oriented Middleware, Java, and other relevant technologies (i.
e.
, XML, XPath, HTTP, JMS, IBM WebSphere MQ, EMS and RV).
Good depth with RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL.
Experience with TIBCO BPM tools is a plus.
Proven track record of using design patterns and best practices to serve business needs in an efficient manner so as to increase IT bandwidth for new functionality Analysis and design skills of varied complexities.
Familiarity with iterative development life cycle and methodology.
Must have strong functional spec and technical documentation skills.
