Microsoft Exchange Administrator:
Primarily responsible for the planning and administration of all Windows servers across the company.
Perform routine server maintenance, configuring users, and will be the first escalation point for Microsoft Office Outlook and Exchange Server issues.
Responsibilities of the Exchange Administrator:
Ability to install, maintain and support MS Exchange 2010, 2013 and 2016 Ability to install, maintain and support Exchange in a high availability solution deployed to achieve low RPO and RTO's.
Proficiency in Windows PowerShell and specifically those commands needed to maintain MS Exchange.
Strong background in TCP/IP, DNS and other network services that are required in an Exchange environment.
Provide Microsoft Windows Server operating system support including monitoring server performance and availability within compliance to Service Level Agreements.
Address operational systems issues including file and share permissions, user accounts and installing applications.
Promote server and application patch management processes.
Monitor server load and implement load balancing where appropriate.
Exchange administrator will be tasked with maintaining production schedules and providing maintenance of OS and Exchange during maintenance hours and coordinating those with specific customers.
Demonstrated knowledge, experience and proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and greater, Active Directory and other support services.
Requirements of the Microsoft Exchange Administrator:
Demonstrated knowledge, experience and proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and greater, Active Directory and other support services.
Experience implementing transport layer security (TLS).
Experience with VMware ESXi and MS SQL Server.
Understanding of Change Management frameworks such as ITIL and/or DevOps.
Functional knowledge of Exchange backup software/strategies.
3-4yrs experience in Exchange Administration 5+yrs of Windows Server OS Support.
Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related IT degree preferred but not required.
MCSE certified solutions expert certification desirable.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
