Location: Southborough, Ma
Shift: Full-time 1st
Pay: $43-65k
Under the direction of the Microbiology Supervisor, position is responsible for performing a wide variety of sophisticated laboratory procedures. Seeking candidates who work well in a team environment, possess good judgment and attention to detail along with independent judgment skills. The medical technologist performs duties in the Microbiology Lab. Also participate in Lab Quality Improvement and safety activities.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point required.
Excellent communication skills and writing skills. Must be computer literate and have a basic understanding of computer interfaces.
Must be familiar with all phases of Microbiology and Parasitology.
Minimum of 1 year of Hospital Laboratory experience as a Medical Technologist.
Experience in quality improvement and safety highly desired. Mycology experience preferred but not required.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, either completion of an approved/accredited clinical laboratory of medical technology training program. National certification by NCA, ASCP, or HEW.
Required MT(ASCP) or equivalent required (NCA or HEW)
