Duties:
Provide production support activities of applications in production by trouble shooting issues, proposing solutions, developing and testing fixes, migrating solutions, and guiding members of the development and support team and other groups within IT as needed for the support and maintenance of their applications. Report to management on the overall status of the various activities related to applications being supported. Responsible for adding, maintaining and extending the packaged application's components. Maintain the canned technical architectures. Work closely with the functional resources to ensure that applications are fulfilling EMC's business requirements. Develop unit test application programs and obtain code reviews, while ensuring that all programming standards and policies are adhered to. Mentor with regard to code reviews, design reviews, and unit tests. Author technical designs that define how functional designs will be technically enabled. Develop and maintain applications for business processes and systems. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
Requirements:
Employer will accept Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics or related technical field and seven years of work experience in job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Experience must include: 1) .NET application development and support; 2) MS SQL development and support; 3) Web application design and development; 4) Application/database design (SQL); 5) Team management; 6) Analyzing test results and identifying root cause of performance limitations; 7) Analyzing performance problems and developing remediation strategies; 8) Developing tuning approaches and recommendations.
Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
